R&D Project Coordinator
Employment type: Full time – Office & remote
As a Research Project Coordinator you will be part of a team that manages and coordinates Horizon Europe research projects. We are looking for a person who is outstanding in responsiveness, integrity and reliability, with excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, as well as strong ability to work in teams for supporting R&D activities. We look for applicants with an interest in interdisciplinary research, with experience in EU funded research projects, capacity to travel in Europe and ability to cooperate with international partners from industry and academia.
What you will do:
- Participate in project coordination activities
- Manage development projects to meet both design and timeline requirements
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives
- Interface with our prototype and sample teams
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans
- Develop and maintain project timelines
- Lead project meeting across multiple teams and functions within the company
- Maintain project records
- Use and develop leadership skills
- Attend training as required to maintain proficiency
- Own the successful delivery of the project – ensuring client acceptance.
- Produce and maintain key documents related to each project, including the project schedule, governance structure, and other guidelines.
- Work with senior management to identify the resources that are required to successfully deliver on the project requirements
- Monitor and manage (in a matrix organization) said resources using existing task assignment and prioritization tools.
- Track, measure, and review project progress. This includes adjusting plans, and communicating changes.
- Manage partner relations (internal and external) and all issues that arise from projects
- Manage escalation of issues as appropriate as well as being responsible for their successful resolution
- Administer the change request process, including related communications, project plan adjustments, resource allocation, and client invoicing.
- Risk management (identification, assessment, and prioritization) and resolution, including escalating risks to stakeholders as appropriate
- Project accounting and invoicing
- Be willing to be part of our R&D projects coordination team
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, ability to negotiate, and to cooperate with international partners and clients
- Experience in EU funded research programs (e.g. Horizon Europe, H2020)
- Knowledge of the related financial rules and procedures
- Proven track record of providing creative solutions and effective project management
- Knowledge of Agile project management types
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree or higher – desirable if the degree is held in an IT related discipline
